materials needed: art materials, four (4) "playing card size" cardboard (kindly use a standard playing card as your size reference.)
Overview: Create four card patterns for God, Goddess, Mortal/Heroes, and Creature. On one side, draw and label a picture of a character, and on the other side he or she writes down important facts about the character.

Research and pick four characters from Greek Mythology representing each of the categories: Gods, Goddesses, Heroes/Mortal, Creatures.
You should be submitting 4 trading cards on the Due Date.
The information on the card should include:
KIND (ex. God, Goddess, etc) A) NAME B) ORIGIN (Place of origin or birth) C) POWER / DESIGNATION (ex. God of Love, etc.) D) WEAKNESSES (ex. women) E) TRADEMARK SYMBOL OR WEAPON (ex. Lightning bolt, eagle, etc.) F) RELATIONSHIPS (ex. Married to Ares, Father of the Furies, etc) G) BRIEF MYTH ABOUT THE CHARACTER (ex. "origin story", "important myth about the character", etc)
*indicate your sources (book, or website) in small fonts at the bottom section of each card.
Note: This assignment counts as a Long Quiz.
PS: As an incentive, bonus points (to be added to your recitation and assignment grades) will be given for each additional QUALITY card that you can make. +0.5 point to be added to the general average for recitation and/or assignment.
ex: if your grade for recitation is 75, an extra card would mean an immediate 75.5 in recitation grade.
***the maximum points you can earn is 10 sure points, equivalent to 20 extra cards. (my final assignment grade is 80, with the maxed out bonus, the final assignment grade will become 90!

the 20 extra cards are for those who want to avail of the bonus. of course, it's not easy to make an additional 20 cards. that's why it's a bonus for those who are willing to go the extra mile.
sorry, no extension. the assignment was posted last thursday. and regarding the project, it was announced a few weeks back. if you were only planning this weekend. it's not my fault. i have been reminding the classes about it.
grades are earned through hard work, not procrastination. but of course, you all know that. especially in my class. hehehe.
